Self-Efficacy,
Believing in Myself

Use self-efficacy to achieve financial independence and freedom. Influence your environment by your state of mind on your way to becoming a millionaire.

Becoming a millionaire is not easy. I know by first-hand experience. Not that I am a millionaire, its just that I want to be.

What is Self-Efficacy?

self-efficacyWikipedia defines it as the belief that one is capable of performing in a certain manner to attain certain goals. It is a belief that one has the capabilities to execute the courses of actions required to manage prospective situations.

It is different than self-esteem. It relates to a person’s perception of their ability to reach a goal, whereas self-esteem relates to a person’s sense of self-worth.

It is demonstrated very nicely in Kung Fu's attitude toward becoming the "dragon warrior".

How to Get Confidence in Finances

self-efficacyVisualization is key to achieving what you want. You have to see yourself achieving your set goal. You have to say, "by believing in myself" I will achieve it.

How to Achieve Goals

  • Step 1-Write down a specific goal on a small piece of paper. For example you may decide you want a drawer full of cash totaling $1,000,000.
  • Step 2-Below your goal, briefly document your reasons for wanting to achieve your goal. To continue with the previous example, write down, "To be financially independent" and "So I can count it every day".
  • Step 3-Write down some of your favorite specific benefits of achieving your goal: "I can go out to eat whenever I want" or "I can spend the money that I was spending on mortgage payments on toys".
  • Step 4-Place the paper and a couple of copies of it around in places that you will see it. (The mirror in the bathroom, the refrigerator, your desk at work...etc.) When you see the papers, briefly review them and visualize achieving what is written. This should occur at least several times a day.
